John is the Executive Chef at Eléa Estate. He has had an outstanding and diverse career, spanning over 20 years, working in Europe, the UK & the Middle East, were he has overseen restaurants in hotels and resorts. John inspires a passion for food and a commitment to quality, the foundations to delivering exemplary cuisine at every opportunity. His creativity in menu and programme development is based on quality of wholesome ingredients.

John’s previous experience includes The Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai, which included the pre-opening and opening period. Here he was integral to the set up of the day-to-day culinary operations for this flagship hotel. He was also responsible for development and the enhancement of the guest culinary experience, as well as providing essential input into the concept, design and planning for the new restaurants – developing and implementing menus and tasting.


From 1998-2008, John spent time in Cyprus in a series of senior management positions, from which he oversaw the quality and consistency control of food production, as well as the restaurant operations. John has personally cooked for Robert De Niro, Michael Jordan, Charlize Theron, Kylie Minogue, Harry Redknapp and Miss India, Shilpa Shetty. He is married with two children.


John joined Eléa Estate in 2010 before the Clubhouse opened and has enjoyed the opportunity to oversee the kitchen operation from the very beginning. This has allowed him to indulge and develop his passion for supporting the local community by sourcing the finest local produce available, as well as ordering and maintaining the operating smalls equipment, training and mentoring of a team of 10 and deveolping the identity of the restaurant through to the menu of fresh Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist.
