We believe that a good wine should be savoured and where better to enjoy a fine glass – or bottle – than in our exclusive wine tasting room served by our well trained and knowledgeable staff.
Cypriot wines have a growing reputation and highlights from our local collection include:
Zambartas Winery
The wines from Zambartas Winery have a style of their own. They are crafted from native Cypriot and international grape varieties. They ensure the finest quality of each drop in your glass, year after year.
Shiraz-Lefkada (2008)
This is a powerful rich red wine of which Lefkada contribute structure and an intense mulberry fruit. It is blended with Shiraz to enhance its spicy style.
Maratheftiko (2008)
This red has a scent of violets which is very characteristic of the Maratheftiko grape. The bouquet is complimented by aromas of black cherry and is enriched by an elegant layer of fine French oak barrels.
Xynisteri (2009)
The Xynisteri vine is grown in the oldest vine region of Cyprus (Krasochoria) which gives a fresh and distinctly aromatic wine reminiscent of peach, pineapple, pear and lime.
Domaine Hadjiantonas Winery
The Hadjiantonas Winery is situated in Parekklisia in the rolling countryside east of Limassol and is one of the wineries at the forefront of the new generation of Cypriot wines.
Although the winery is only seven years old, it has achieved so much with a collection of 18 awards and the name Domaine Hadjiantonas is synonymous with the highest quality.
Shiraz (2007)
This wine has a deep ruby red colour with rich aromas of blackberries, vanilla, notes of wood and various spices. This is a full bodied wine with strong tannins and a long aftertaste.
Winner of the Brussels Silver Medal (2009)
Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz (2006)
This is a very rich red wine with complex characteristics. Aromas of mint, wild blackberry, green & black peppers, blackcurrant, pencil shavings and chocolate.
Chardonnay (2010)
This is a lovely palatable dry white wine.
Silver Winner of the Thessaloniki Wine Competition (2010)
Aes Ambelis Winery
Aes Ambelis Winery was founded back in the late eighties as a result of the passion and love that a few friends had for the Cyprus wine heritage. They produce wines of premium quality based on a blend of local and premium imported varieties.
They have an extensive underground cellar which is used for keeping bottled wine and for aging in fine French oak barrels.
Omiros (2008)
This red is a full bodied and balanced wine. It is an ideal match for rich culinary creations.
Tsangarides Winery
The Tsangarides winery is situated in the lovely old village of Lemona, 39 minutes drive from Paphos. It's here our Great Great Grandfather prepared the land and planted out the first vineyards, tending and nurturing the fruit of the vine in much the same way as his descendants do today. Then, the wine made was mainly for domestic consumption, but slowly, over many years the accumulated knowledge gleaned from travel and education via foreign winemakers has resulted in the wines becoming more than acceptable to European palettes.
Xynisteri (2010)
Produced only from the 'anthos' (the natural juice before pressure is applied) of selected Xinisteri grapes. This medium dry white wine has a taste of tropic fruits, a nice body and a long after taste. Enjoy it with white meat, fish or as a refreshing aperitif.
Mataro (2009)
A dark purple colour, lovely, complex, beautifully evaluated bouquet. The cherries aroma gives their place to scent of vanilla, cloves, caramel and truffles. Rich, rounded and fleshy taste, with volume and extremely good structure. Best served with food of powerful flavour such as game, red meat and rich sauces.
